The Environmental Film Activist Handbook / entry two

From this week on, I am going to show an audience one film each week.

I am going to ask this questions right after the audience has viewed the film, 2 weeks and 2 months later I am going to ask them what they still remember about the film and if they have changed something in their life after watching those films.

Questions to ask after the film was watched by the viewers:

General questions which can be used for all four films:

Does this topic interest you?

Have you informed yourself in the past about this topic?

What did you like about the film, what didn’t you like?

Did you think the topic was represented well, or did you think it was one sided?

Did you build a connection to somebody or something in the film?

After you have seen this film now, do you want to research more about this topic?

Has this film moved you in any way or has it brought up questions and thoughts?

What was most memorable for you in the film?

What was the message you took from the film?

Questions for Mission Blue:

Have you seen the problems the ocean is facing yourself?

Do you think that the oceans problems are going to impact you?

After watching this film, do you feel a connection to the ocean? Do you want to help protect it?

Questions for an inconvenient sequel:

Do you think there is anything you can do?
